Mystery Blogger Award & My Nomination

I am so honored and very grateful to have been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by Denise Gardiner. Denise is the author and creator of Many Facets of Life blog. I cannot thank Denise enough for this nomination!

Denise blogs about different aspects of personal development, such as addictions, life, health and fitness, self-care, relationships, career, Senior life, just to name a few.   She has a unique way of sharing her own experiences along with research.

Late in 2019 when I joined Golden Bloggerz Online Blogging Community I connected with Denise. This was only shortly after starting my blogging journey. I found Denise to be friendly, helpful and very encouraging. Denise is an inspiring writer and I am blessed to have connected with her.

What is The Mystery Blogger Award?

This award was created by Okoto Enigma. It was created as a way for blogs that haven’t been discovered to gain recognition.

“Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging, and they do it with so much love and passion.

3 Facts About Myself

  • I’m a retired nurse and loved my career with a passion!
  • I’ve never lived outside of Texas or further than 50 miles from where I was born. I’ve only visited 5 other states so far. I’m a true Texas cowgirl and have been riding horses since I was 3. lol
  • I’m a survivor of ovarian cancer. In 1979 as a senior in high school I had a very large (18 pound) tumor and one ovary removed. I was so young they left the rest of my female organs. I was told I’d never have children. God blessed me with a daughter and later a set of twins, all naturally.

Denise’s Questions for Me

  1. What is your biggest fear and why? I want to quickly say flying, but I’m working on facing that fear. I think a more honest answer is that my biggest fear is the death of one my children or grandchildren. I’ve watched my brother and his wife lose their only child to leukemia. It’s unfathomable. The heartache even for me losing my niece is so intense still now, it causes immense fear to think I could possibly have to face that happening.
  2. Vegan, Vegetarian or Meat Eater? Meat Eater. Most days I could be a vegetarian, but I do like some meats. 🙂
  3. What is your favorite movie? Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino
  4. If you were running for President, what would be the most important focus of your platform and why? Oh my! First off, I’d never consider running for President!! I would not make a good President (of anything)! I try to hard to please EVERY one, so I’d never make it! And I don’t like talking politics, especially on my blog. lol so that’s the best answer you’ll get. 🙂
  5. Would you rather fly to the moon or climb Mount Everest? Ok, well I’ve already expressed my dislike for flying, so I’d definitely not pick flying to the moon!! I’m very cold all the time and don’t really like heights… But out of the two I’d attempt Mount Everest before I’d even THINK about going to the moon!!! lol I’d still rather a third option though… like laying on the beach? I know, I’m boring!

My Best Post

This one I did about Mindful Eating did really well on Pinterest. But it’s hard for me to pick which one is actually my best post.

The other one that I can’t say is one of my best, simply because it was one of my very first posts, and I think I have improved along the way. But I will always personally be proud of the post titled I Got One Thing Right, because of the story it tells. Perhaps it’s time to go back and revise some of those first posts! 😉

Until next time,
Sharon
